"If you conquer yourself, then you conquer the world." Paulo Coelho

Every month we focus on a different character trait, learning why it is important and how we can show that character trait in our lives. In December we are focusing on self-control.
Self-control means that you are the boss over your own feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. You choose what you are going to do or not do.
Self-control looks like:
-- Being quiet when you want to talk.
-- Studying instead of playing video games.
-- Getting a bath even though you'd rather keep playing.
-- Saving your money instead of spending it.
-- Not eating too much and making healthy choices with your food.
-- Not saying something mean when you are mad.

December's Tiger Pride Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, December 18th, in the RES auditorium. A student from each classroom, chosen for their self-control, will be celebrated at the Tiger Pride Ceremony.
