Experience

This will be my 27th year of teaching in Elementary School!

I started my career in Guilford County.

I transferred to Randolph County, where I began here at Randleman Elementary School as a Spanish teacher, as well as Level Cross Elementary when we expanded. When they took Spanish away from Elementary schools, I went in to the regular classroom here at Randleman in Kindergarten for three years.

After that I transferred to Asheboro City Schools and taught at Guy B. Teachey for 12 years. I was in K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. I was encouraged by my principal to get certified in ESL because I am from a bilingual family (English and Spanish) and I always did well with ESL students in my classrooms, and co-taught well with other teachers.

This will be my fourth year in ESL. I have taught at Ramseur, Level Cross and now home again to Randleman for the second year being a full time position... I have made a full circle!

Bio

I have been happily married for 27 years and we have two wonderful children, a son that is twenty-one and a daughter that is sixteen. My mom is an important part of our lives and is eighty six years young. We are all very close, which comes from my Hispanic culture that has been instilled in me from my father's side of the family from Ecuador, S.A. My father passed eleven years ago, but still is an important part of my life and is a huge reason why I am who I am today.

In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, working out at the gym, riding in the jeep, and going on mini vacations when we can to the mountains. We are a family of strong faith and love and that keeps our family strong and close!

I am very excited to be a part of the Tiger Nation, I feel like I never left. Teaching is my passion and I work very hard to make a difference in the lives of these young ones that will become our future. This year I am co-teaching in Kindergarten and Fourth grade. I also will be working with newcomers to the English language and helping in other grades as needed, pulling students out for more intensive help.

Yo hablo espanol, si usted me necesita, puede contactarme por correo electronico, telefono, o nota.
