Kids Summer Camp at Franklinville
Do you need FUN activities for your child this summer? If you're still looking for childcare, we've got you covered. Franklinville Daycare is holding a Kids Summer Camp.
Kids will have an opportunity to visit the Preppy Possum, 4-H, Library, movies, putt-putt, bowling, Pizza Inn, NC Zoo, Millstone Creek, and YMCA. During the duration of summer camp, parents are asked to send 2 snacks and lunch daily.
Students must be registered for camp. The registration fee is $10. For students who are attending 3 days or less the cost is $80 per week. Those who attend 4 days or more, the cost is $120 per week. All field trips are included in the cost of the camp!

2026-2027 Transportation Request Forms
Students will be bringing home 2026-2027 Transportation Request Forms & RCSS Bus Contracts today. Please fill out these forms and return them to your child's teacher ASAP! This will help ensure that your child has appropriate transportation in place to start the 2026-2027 school year. ALL students should return BOTH forms, even if they are NOT bus riders. (If your child is NOT a bus rider, you will simply check "no" for AM/PM.) We appreciate your help in ensuring these forms are completed.

Students traveled with their teachers and chaperones to locations around the park and downtown Franklinville, rotating every twenty minutes to visit a total of 15 career stations. Stops included the Franklinville Fire Department, Franklinville Town Hall, Franklinville United Methodist Church fellowship hall, and Franklinville Post Office.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department and Franklinville Fire Department helped ensure student safety throughout the day. We are grateful to the many community partners and volunteers who shared their time and career experiences, as well as to our sponsors for providing student shirts and a snack from the Franklinville Diner at no cost. After returning to school, students enjoyed lunch and completed follow-up activities to reflect on their experience.

We are excited to celebrate Autism Acceptance Week at our school March 30th-April 2nd! This special week is a time for us to learn, grow, and show kindness as we recognize and celebrate the unique strengths and differences that make each of us special.
Autism Acceptance Week helps us understand that everyone learns, communicates, and experiences the world in their own way—and that’s something to be appreciated and respected.
We encourage students and staff to participate in our spirit days (details below) as a way to show support and acceptance:
🧦 Monday: Neurodiversity Day- Wear your bright, fun, mismatched socks to be unique!
💙 Tuesday: Sensory Day- Be comfortable and wear your PJs to school (school appropriate, please)!
🤝 Wednesday: Team up for Autism- Wear your favorite team jersey or school colors!
🌈 Thursday: We are inclusive- Wear red, blue, or an Autism shirt!
Families can support Autism Acceptance Week by talking with their children about kindness, understanding, and celebrating differences. Together, we can build a school community where everyone feels valued, included, and accepted.
