Today, Randleman Elementary School hosted its Third Annual Tractor Thursday!
What began as a simple idea during morning meetings has grown into a highly anticipated event that students look forward to each year. This year, first-grade teacher Ms. Cullop expanded the experience beyond agriculture to showcase a variety of skilled trades, providing students with opportunities to explore career pathways and make real-world connections.
“Watching my students ask questions, make connections, and get excited about learning is exactly why I love what I do,” said Ms. Cullop.
The event was made possible through the support of local businesses and organizations that generously shared their time and expertise with students, including W&W Crane and Rigging, CKS Landworks and Hauling, SLC Dumpster Rental, Bobcat of Asheboro, Red Rock Rentals from Asheboro Kubota, the Randleman Fire Department, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Randleman Service Station, and Universal Steel of Thomasville.
A special thank you goes to Principal Mr. Shoptaw for his continued support of innovative learning experiences that help bring classroom lessons to life. Events like Tractor Thursday provide students with valuable exposure to careers and opportunities within their own community.
Ms. Cullop says she is already looking forward to Tractor Thursday Year 4!
