Next week we will celebrate Read Across America Week! We encourage your children to dress up to celebrate reading as well as Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Monday-
The Cat in the Hat: Dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character.
Tuesday-
Fox in Sox: Wear crazy socks.
Wednesday-
If I Ran the Zoo: Wear animal print/dress as your favorite animal.
Thursday-
Oh the Things You Will Think: Wear your favorite college gear.
Friday-
The Sleep Book: Wear your pajamas!

At last night's Board of Education meeting, the following changes were made to the calendar for the 2025-2026 school year:

All schools in the RCSS will operate on regular schedule tomorrow, Monday, February 9.

Due to continued concerns about road conditions throughout the county, Friday, February 6th will be a remote learning day; therefore, students will not report to their school campus on Friday February 6th.

Book Fair is Coming February 23rd-27th! Students can shop 7:30-3:15 Monday-Thursday. You can shop late Monday the 23rd and Thursday the 26th until 4:15. Book Fair will close Friday February 27th at 12:00. Below is the link to preview, shop, and purchase gift cards for your students and their teachers!

Due to hazardous road conditions, tomorrow, Wednesday 2/4/26, will be a REMOTE LEARNING DAY for all schools in the RCSS.

February 9th-13th Randleman Elementary will celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week. This year's theme is Under Construction: Building a Kinder School. Students will share their kindness challenges with their teachers during morning meetings. Feel free to share photos of your child doing their challenges with their teacher on Class Dojo. We encourage students to complete these daily challenges:

Monday- Greet 3 new people.
Tuesday- Help with a chore without being asked.
Wednesday- Use kind words and kind choices all evening.
Thursday- Encourage or cheer up a neighbor or community member.
Friday- Do a kind act for your family or home.

This week is School Counselor Week. We would like to thank Ms. Samulski for all of her work to ensure the wellbeing of our students and staff. She works tirelessly to meet the needs of Randleman Elementary and we are grateful for her resilience!
